36. The Journey of An Imperfect Ally with Tara Newman

I am so excited to bring you this episode because it really does give you some insight into something that I think is very important and that's how mindset really is important. And how it creates this foundation and these roots when it comes to any of the other things that you do, very similar to the marketing piece of it that comes in with the visual strategy that India gives you.

When India and I do our2:1 services together, it's really difficult to create your marketing and your visibility strategy when you haven't addressed anything that could be prohibiting you from being visible and really addressing the why and getting into the things that matter with it.

So, this interview, it's kind of a client profile and a review. It is with myself and Tara Newman from The Bold Leadership Revolution and The Brave Society.

We talk about how leadership is baked into what you do. And I'm giving you permission to do it your way, by matching your intentions with your actions.

Are you ready to dive in?

QUOTES

“One of the biggest things, actually cornerstone of everything that I did was customer service, how I interacted with people, how I supported them, the questions that I asked them how I listened to them, hearing what people say, as well as what they don't say. And being able to combine that with the lessons that I personally learned building a business at a time when I didn't have the same level of access with social media that you have now to support you. That was not a thing. I built a business and I had to build my business, brick by brick, actually working with people actually talking with people, referral by referral.“

“Now I do that a little bit differently than many consultants. Many consultants come in, and they're like, Hey, here's how we do strategy, or here's how we do plans, or here's our formula. And this is what you should do. I actually take the time to get to know the clients and their stories a little bit more, before I ever make any suggestions, because I think that is important is that you want everything to be customized to you and feel true to you. ”
